I would never equate ignorance with freedom. It was reported yesterday that now Seattle has the worst traffic in the nation. We're in the middle of an economic upswing. Guess what? It's not going to last. Economies are cyclical, with upswings and down. The surplus that the state has was temporary before I-695. Now what? I thought we payed politicians to make decisions regarding taxation? If you don't like the decisions they're making, vote them out of office. Deputizing the citizenry to make tax decisions at the polls due to passage of I-695 is supposed to save us money. Don't you realize that just opening polls, creating voters guides, and tallying votes costs money.

"Don't you realize that just opening polls, creating voters guides, and tallying votes costs money. " Which is why I have always favored an aristocracy!

To Kurt: If it was reported yesterday that Seattle have the worst traffic in the nation, doesn't this strike you as been odd, considering that I695 was not yet passed yesterday and the politician have all of our money, why haven't fixed the problems yet? Because they are not using our money to fix the problems or maybe they were to busy using our money to fund their campaign.Sam

Our freeways have not changed since they opened in about 1970. Diamond lanes are part of the problem, not the solution. It has happened without I-695. Maybe some of the politicians have to go to the proctologist to find their brains.
