WE'RE DOWN BUT NOT OUT

November 2, 1999

Dear Friends:

As you may know, our Discussion Group was "hacked" over the weekend. There was more extensive damage than we originally believed, and it appears that we won't have the Discussion Group working for a couple of more days.

Some have speculated that we faked the hacking, so that I could quietly disappear from the Y2K scene. I'm sorry to disappoint those who thought -- or hoped -- this was the case, but I have no intention of leaving. We may be down, but we are not out.

We are also taking this occasion to move the entire website to our own dedicated server. This will result in faster, more secure access in the future. While the hacking appeared to be a setback, it will end up being better for all of us. (My thanks to the hacker.)

We appreciate your patience. Please keep checking back. We will update this page as new information becomes available.

Thanks,

Michael

P.S. If you have any leads concerning the hacker's identity, please e-mail me directly.

Looking forward to your board's return. Hope you catch the hacker.

Hello Mr. Hyatt,

I am glad you are not giving up.

About three weeks ago I sent an email to Dorrit pointing out that she had treated a woman on your forum (named Applpie) in a rude and unfair manner.

I sent you a copy of that email. I have not heard back from either of you.

May God bless you and be with you always, Mr. Hyatt.

Mr. Hyatt, I've been praying for you and your moderators including your wonderful administrator, Dorrit. Many of us, including myself are beginning to have serious withdrawal symptoms from not being able to participate in the MH discussion group. I DO believe you will come back stronger and better. May God bless you Michael. Still one of His, Cecilia Jones

Your extremely valuable preparation forum have been missed these two days. There is so much of people helping people there that it is always a joy to visit daily, to give and be given to. I have learned so very much there about survival!

May the Lord strengthen the hands of you and your good crew as you rebuild better than ever. "Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world."

Keep up the good work Michael.

May God richly bless you and those who help you.
