Your attempt at prognostication of the backlash of passing I-695 is a text-book example of how brain-washed a lot of the American public have become from the media and money-grubbing politicians.

The government of this state already takes an inordinate amount of money from hard-working citizens. The money we citizens earn is OUR MONEY and WE allow the government to TAX us for the purpose of providing the services WE deem necessary. Pray tell, what is wrong with US demanding an accounting for how OUR MONEY IS SPENT?

Let's be realistic here, we will all survive. Taxes will still be collected. But, maybe, just maybe, the politicians we elect will be more judicious in how money is spent!
