It is a terrible tragety... Been listening to it on the radio... Praying for the families of the victims...

Better yet, why don't we just not say anything about this at all? Unless, of course, it is somehow Y2K related, which is doubtful. How about just saying a prayer for the families and leaving it at that?

Did they catch the guy yet? Disgruntled ex-employee. MSNBC site says Server Busy.

The police are saying they think he is a "copy"-cat killer because it was done at Xerox.

Unreal -

I worked for the District Partner of Xerox in Honolulu during 1991 for about 6 months on contract work. I know exactly where I sat in reference to the conference room where the shootings apparently occurred. Seems like this guy shot technical staff people.

Gives me the creeps. Feel very sorry for the family of the deceased.

Radio is reporting that the gunman works for Hawaii Transfer Company, TV is saying Xerox (go figure) and was going to a meeting where he was going to be fired. They are also reporting that the police have him trapped in his van in the Makiki/Tantalus area.

I know this is completely off topic, sorry. I just felt that we could learn something from each other. The person who had first hand experience with that particular geographic location is a good example. Seems to me that there is a growing trend with this "disgruntled" stuff. I was just hoping we could figure out why a little better if we could share some ideas.

Sounds like a copy-cat killing to me...

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the continuing incidents involving people opening fire in schoolyards, shopping malls, businesses, etc., are part of a program run by clandestine elements of our government. The method is by post-hypnotic suggestion and drugs Take note of how many of the shooters were on psychoactive "medication" of some form - also observe that the vast majority killed themselves before they could be captured and presumably interrogated). The motive is to do away with the Second Amendment entirely, at the request of citizens.

A prime example of applied dialectics.

From ABCNEWS.com:Honolulu Shootings

Shooter was in Xerox tech services. Killed his "work team" in a conference room.

What have we become?

-- Mac (sneak@lurk.hid), November 02, 1999.

Q: "What have we become?"

A: Since we're unarmed, we're all just sitting ducks until the cops arrive.

Notice that stuff like this NEVER happens in Israel, Switzerland, or places where citizens are known to be armed in public.

We're still unarmed. It will happen again.

I have two connections to this. My mom is glued to the TeeVee, door locked; she lives 3 blocks from where they have the shooter cornered. My cousin, her nephew, is some kind of district manager for Xerox in Honolulu, his name is Ken. I was worried that he might have been one of those shot.

Do you suppose Ken was a polly who GI'd? we in the Islands are shocked by this senseless murder tho it doesn't mean Paradise is lost. Ive heard that low level IT workers are catching Hell from higher ups who now realize it won't be the same after New year.chalk it up to more millennium madness and an awful sadness for the families! Hawaiian's will surround the bereived with ALOHA !

cory -

Thought of you immediately when I heard the news. Hope your cousin is OK, at least physically. Everyone around there will be shaken up by the events.

Man, first the (mercifully brief) strike, now this. Trouble in paradise.
