Who's Afraid of Big Labor?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : I-695 Thirty Dollar License Tab Initiative : One Thread

We've all heard and seen the hit pieces from the socialists who run the various unions (most of them grease the palms do-nothing public employees like DB.) We've seen it all before, with Initiatives 200, 676, 677, 685, and 593. Additionally, they sunk a minimum of $35 million of their member's money to unseat the GOP Congress. And guess what?

-- 200 passed.

-- 676 failed.

-- So did 677.

-- Ditto to 685.

-- I-593 (Three Strikes, You're Out) is the law of the land.

-- The GOP still controls both houses of Congress.

-- And 695 becomes the law of the land in 48 hours despite a "no" campaign that would make Josef Goebbels blush.

Looks like Big Labor is about to become 0 for 7, coincident with their declining representation of workers in the real world (read: outside the government sector.)

Just an observation.

(borrowing an idea from Westin)

"Who are these people?"

VP Al Gore, when in a museum surrounded by busts of Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and various other figures from our country's history.
