It's amazing that we seem to see nothing but dark, mysterious answers to events these days.

100 years ago, was every cruise-ship sinking a conspiricy? Is every motorcycle crash a killing? What about that car accident that James Dean was in-definately murder.

My grandpa used to say that if it walked like a duck, swam like a duck and crapped like a duck, it most likely was a duck. I've found this to be true.

Andy, for instance always sees a deeper, darker picture than I do, be it gold prices, the market crash or planes going down. Disagree with that appraisal and get insulted. It doesn't change the reality. Gold is still about 300, the market is doing just fine and the 767 will probably not turn out to be a bomb planted by the CIA or FBI.

What was the last big conspiricy that was exposed as such....I'm waiting.

All I want to know is where was everyone when we went ONTO daylight savings time? There must have been at least a few plane crashes to link to the time change.

I guess people are now just "grasping at straws" because they are hopelessly out of material to support TEOTWAWKI theory. Hey, at least a plane crash is gruesome, and it goes a long way to unsettle people's nerves about the possibility of Y2K disruptions when you relentlessly throw it in their faces. (And no I don't think these people NEED an agenda to scare people for no reason, I think it's just in their nature).

By the way, it goes largely unnoticed but the OT warning that accompanied most of the truly off topic threads, say even two months ago, are now disappearing fast. People don't even bother to say that it's OT anymore. But then again it's becoming obvious that anything dark and sinister is On Topic for the Fear Factory.

I've checked CNN, Fox and Yahoo. As of 8:43am PST, I see only one report of airplane trouble, a 767 that turned back in Europe. Turning around would normally not be a story, I believe.

Quite frankly, I want to know why this plane dropped 23,000 feet in around 1 minute. For this to happen, both of their engines could not be working.

I will be waiting for the official explanation to take that into consideration. JFK jr's plane descent (as originally reported the day after) was not taken into consideration in the final assessment. One thing one can do to detect if they are hearing the truth is to match the pieces of the puzzle. Either they connect, or they don't.

Y'all fill in the other options.
