A recent study shows the ferries pollute 8 times more than cars and 15 times more than busses. Why should I pay so those rich commuters can bring their $50K Lexus on the ferry. It cost more for my girlfriend and I to take our bikes on the ferry than it does If I take my huge truck across.

Geee and you are just oh so concerned with the environment. Also a bike costs $0 eastbound and $4.40 westbound a "huge truck" costs $6.50 eastbound and $10.20 (with a passenger) westbound total for 2 person round trip bike= $8.80 "huge truck"= $16.70 So I guess in the wacky world of rick $16.70 is less then $8.80

Do you REALLY think the rich could care less??? I mean, to me 120 bucks is a big chunk of Christmas when my tabs are due in December. This initiative is for the little guys. The 1200 bucks they pay is pocket change to many of them, but the 120 means an awful lot more to me. Do you see how proportionatly it doesn't make sense to say, "Oh, I want to see those evil rich people pay their fair share."

By the way, no class envy here, I'm just trying to make a point.

My 6,000 lbs truck takes up 20 times the volume and weighs 20 times as much. Yet it's only $4 more. ( guess they over-charged me last time)

Your pretty stupid ron. Using your arguement, why don't we charge the rich 100 times what we are now? They lexus owners are paying way way too much, so when a reasonal fee is charged, they will be saving more. Are u really that stupid?
