What kind of day shall I choose today?

Today I can complain about my health,

Or I can celebrate being alive.

Today I can moan that it is raining,

Or be joyful at all that grows from the rain.

Today I can regret all I don't have,

Or rejoice in everything I do.

Today I can mourn everything I have lost,

Or eagerly anticipate what's to come.

Today I can complain that I have to work,

Or celebrate having a job to go to.

Today I can resent the mess the kids make,

Or give thanks that I have a family.

Today I can whine about the housework,

Or celebrate having a home.

Today I can cry over the people who don't care for me,

Or be happy loving and being loved by those who do.

I choose to have a good day today !!!

This life is all about choices.

Once upon a time...I would awaken & choose despair - day after day after day. I didn't realize I had a choice in the matter. I saw pain & suffering & judged them as entirely negative. I experienced pain & suffering & judged them as entirely negative.

Gradually I began to take true responsibility for my own thoughts, feelings & actions. I realized I had choices to make - every second of every day. I decided I could no longer shirk my responsibility - to myself - for how I viewed the world.

The veil of Maya (delusion) began to become transparent. Intuitions were no longer ignored. Compassion strengthened, laughter more frequent, smiles from the heart became a habit.

This life is all about choices.

Your post reminded me of a man in town,he can't get a drivers license to drive a car because of his less then perfect eye site(he had lost site in one of his eyes),instead he bought a mo-ped and drives to work 6 days a week.I live in the Midwest with the summer temps sometimes going over 100 degrees and winter with snow and ice.I just learned he has also gotten a golf cart for transpotation,it will make it much better for him because of the rain,snow and cold.The saying where there is a will, there is a way, really pertains to this mans efforts.

Yeah,

I got this one in my in-tray two weeks ago. It was claimed to be written by a young girl dying of cancer with six months to live. If you forwarded the email onto other people it would raise 3 cents for each name on the list for the American Cancer Society and save her life. ( I checked with them and they confirmed it was a bogus chain letter. Basically a scam by rip-off merchants and trolls trawling the net for names to spam.) Kevin
