Valley River Railroad

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Shortline, Narrow Gauge and Industrial Railroading : One Thread

I am seeking more information then what I have about the VRrr and also any information on the industies that it served. The Valley River ran from Mill Creek to Valley Head in Randolph county West Virgina and ceased operation in about 1930. I have conflicting information on the motive power that they used and can not get back to it's location until next year. Any information and or photos of the area from about 1920 to 1930 would be helpful VR Bruce Rpler

Hey Bruce, Do you have the issue of Light Iron & Short Ties which features the Valley River Railroad? If not, I'd be happy to send some reprints of the article.
