I live in a medium-sized town (around 20,000-30,000 people) in Central Ohio. There's an ELF Autochem not more than 2 miles from my house...

With that said, I've noticed with some concern that Dow and many other large chemical companies are closing down around Jan. 1. Then I also read the reports about many small chemical companies not being Y2K compliant. With that in mind, I called the local ELF Autochem, need less to say, they were less than helpful. As soon as I asked if they were closing down for Jan. 1, they started asking for my name and address, then passed me along. Within a few minutes, I was transferred two or three times. I finally ended up with the office manager who told me to check out their website (turned out invalid, I was told "http://www.elf-autochem.com" and I get nothing. Verified it twice with the office manager too.). She also said that they didn't have any dangerous chemicals at the plant.

When I tried to look up ELF Autochem's site on Search, the only thing I've been able to find so far is lawsuits. I'll try more search engines, but I'm wondering - Has anyone else run into this same hassle? Does anyone know the homepage for ELF Autochem?
