Will Your Prescription Card Work? Find Out Here-Maybe

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) Preparation Forum : One Thread

A redundant post to some but maybe new to others. Assuming the *grid* is up pharmacy claim processors are, as best I can tell, the weakest link between you and paying full price for prescription drugs after rollover. I share other fears but this one is up front in even the best of coming scenarios. (Gotta hope for the best, right?)

National Health Information Network (nhin.com) is testing processors but the info is too tough to relate here for this html challenged rube. So, go here and use my LOGIN: Carlos and PASSWORD: Mueller27. Scroll to the bottom and hit "continue" then scroll and click accordingly to view your own processor's progress. Somewhere on the back or front of your pharmacy card there should be an identifying logo for the processor. If not call the 800 number on the card and ask. Some of these guys were in T (testing) months ago and now appear as R (requesting). Not good.

They'll probably bust my login if anybody rats, so, shhhhhh.....

Rats! Shouldn't have been password protected at that point. OK. Go to nhin.com then scroll down to *processor testing*. Gnite.

Carlos,

How very generous of you. Hopefully it will still work by the time my card (and cardholder) gets home! :-)
