I don't know, maybe the fact that in their poll KOMO doesn't use the same language as what is on the ballot? That every poll that does use the language that shows up on the ballot consistantly shows an approval of about 10% lower than the KOMO poll? That even in this poll the opposition has gone up about 5-7%.

Just seems kind of strange how the KOMO poll is always about 10% off what several other independent polls

EXCLUSIVE KOMO 4 NEWS POLL: I-695 October 26, 1999 SEATTLE - A new poll from KOMO 4 News shows statewide support for the initiative remains steady and strong.

The latest poll show 59 percent would vote for the initiative if the election were today. Opposition jumped two points in our latest poll with just one percent undecided.

Over the last three weeks, support for the controversial initiative has remained steady at 59 percent. Opposition has gained some from the ranks of the undecided. If the trend holds, the initiative will pass comfortably.

The story in King County is much different. The race is closer with 51 percent supporting 695 while 47 percent oppose it. Two percent of the voters are undecided. The election is next Tuesday.
