What if....

Dear Friends on the TB forum, Tonight I could not get into this site for a long time. I realized how sad I would be to lose touch with everyone. What if this site goes down for some reason, is there another place that everyone could agree upon? I remember about a year ago there was another site that everyone agreed to go to should something happen to this site. Since then my computer has crashed and I have lost that. I realized tonite how much I enjoy reading all of your contributions. I have learned so much from all of you. I appreciate all points of view (almost) I want all the news, good, bad, ugly. This is the place I come to find out whatever in the world is going on. I would really feel a quite a loss to lose this. Any suggestions?

a mom,

I hope there are contingency plans. This server has been acting strangely for the past few days, and especially tonight. It has gotten very s-l-o-w, even in displaying the "server busy" message, and I often get "document contains no data" messages when I click on a thread. When I've seen these particular symptoms on another large message board server, it has been a portent of an impending server melt-down.

Net access all over Atlanta very limited in the past several days. My server down all day yesterday. Friends complaining. Guess we'll never know....

-a mom,...Some of us have shared phone numbers, and Camel mail addresses (like snail mail, only bigger, and with a hump instead of a shell). Seems to me it's rather like the old phone chains,...I don't have access to everyone, but to some. Ever see the play or the film,..."Six Degrees of Separation"? In it the theory is advanced that everyone on the planet is only separated from everyone else by six people. For example, I am connected to a tribesman in New Guinea by someone with those six degrees. In theory. Has a nice feel to it.

Great film by the way...with Donald Sutherland, Stockard Channing, and Will Smith (before he became a household word). Worth a trip to the video store.

I usually hit the Michael Hyatt site. He has some pretty good boards there. www.michaelhyatt.com

I am separated from the Pope by only two degrees! If you think about who knows who, boy what a world.
