WARNING

Take heed! The Colorado State Department of Fish and Wildlife is advising hikers, hunters, fishers, and golfers to take extra precautions and keep alert for bears while in the Dillon, Breckenridge, Keystone area. They advise that people wear noise producing devices such as little bells on their clothing to alert but not startle the bears unexpectedly. They also advise you to carry pepper spray in case of an encounter with a bear. It is also a good idea to watch for fresh signs of bear activity. People should recognize the difference between black bear and grizzly bear droppings. Black bear droppings are smaller and contain berries and possibly squirrel fur. Grizzly bear droppings have little bells in them and smell like pepper spray.

Gotta love them bears though. Been hunting a hornets nest, meat bees, for a couple months. Hundreds of them bugging the cats while they eat so had to let them inside to feed. Was out in back the other morn and noticed something different towards the pond. I checked it out and it was the meat bee nest, dug up and consumed.

Ha! Thanks, Git, I needed that this morning! (Oh, and by the way, Donna passed along the Felix file you sent her and I named my new virtual pet after YOU.)
