What I have heard from others.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : I-695 Thirty Dollar License Tab Initiative : One Thread

I've been reading a lot of these post daily. All the pro's and Con's of I-695. I work for Boeing, and still the majority of the people that I have talked with all favor I-695. It's not only the reduction in the MVET, but that they all want a say in what they want to be taxed on.

It is simple the average tax payer is fed up with their government. They have voted a lot of them into office, for promises of less taxes. But that is about it promises.

So now here is a chance to take control, and the people want that. I know the Anti-695 will say then vote them out, that don't want to cut taxes. But than what do we get nothing but promises from someone else. And again that takes time and we still keep paying and paying.

That's why most voters are in favor of I-695, and it is not only the well off, but the not so well off also. We are all fed up with promises.

I've talked to several of my co-workers (not on company time) about I-695. It seems that more of the liberals are voting yes then the others. But I would say that 95% of the people I have talked to are voting yes.

They just won't admit it when asked by a supervisor. But tell me in private.

Ed - I tell everyone. I don't care who they are.

Supervisors are going around asking people how they intend to vote?

Joe Hylkema

"Supervisors are going around asking people how they intend to vote?"

Yes

When my supervisor saw my Yes on I-695 signs he came to my cubicle and told me all that was wrong with 695 and why I should vote no, and that the people who are voting yes don't know what their doing. I told hem taht I don't discuss it on city time, yet he kept going off about why I should vote no.

Plus, I do have witnesses

Ed - always have a witness when talking to supervisors
