Wal-Mart Trks carrying Signs ? ? ?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I recieved an email from a very good friend that mentioned a friend drives for Wal-Mart and I guess under their hauling policys they can haul anything. This particular driver was hauling an unknown load. He was stopped by inspectors and was asked what his load was, his statement was he didn't know. The doors to his rig opened and inside were signs 2x3' stating: THIS TOWN UNDER MARTIAL LAW ... I can reprint the letter if asked to. I was just wondering if anyone has friends that work for truck companies that are hauling Y2K related warnings ?

I hope they reprint these signs to read:

THIS WIDE SPOT IN THE ROAD UNDER MARTIAL LAW

THIS BURG UNDER MARTIAL LAW

THIS TRUCK STOP UNDER MARTIAL LAW

THIS DOUGHNUT SHOP UNDER MARTIAL LAW

THIS BEER WAREHOUSE UNDER MARTIAL...

This reminds me. Hasn't it been long enough for the "Cadillac" letter to make the rounds again?

Youse guys should leave Furie alone....I seen Sasquatch the other night goin' down the road with a bundle of those signs under one arm, and a hammer in his other hand. He was wearing a framer's nailbag around his waist, and I am sure he was looking for some trees and telephone poles to start posting them on.

No, Hoffy, you are confusing that with the "Coca Cola Conspiracy papers". Check six, save the tops.

WalMart is taking over? I just KNEW it. Nah, Furie, this is BS. There are plenty of Army trucks if they are trucking these signs.

Furie, did you get this email at the same time as this one by any chance? (Cuz I wonder how come I didn't get it yet myself.)

the forum---can report that 2 visitors who work for NW weight stations on I-5 checked a 40ty footer in late July and found floor to ceiling STOP signs that read Stop Martial Law----not an urban legend-- The visitors staid with My best friend and had no clue about y2k--in passing my friend told them what he knew and of the possibility of martial law---that's when they told him about the signs,Please accept this report as true and reliable--this must be FEMA contingency planning and very understandable given the possibility of breakdown and social disorder----

Hey folks ,let's get real! if most of the posters on this form are doing contingency planning whats so unbelivable about the government insuring that it has the nessessary equipment at stand by! if things get very sticky crowd control and movement control will be critical for some time. logic dictates that preps must be made and I for one am happy someone is thinking ahead. Urban myth come on, let's hope the authorities have their s**t togeather and have decentralized the needed equipment as we have already done for our embassies and military families overseas,You don't have to be a paranoid to believe this is going on.

the forum---can report that 2 visitors who work for NW weight stations on I-5 checked a 40ty footer in late July and found floor to ceiling STOP signs that read Stop Martial Law-

What the hell does that mean? Does it mean, "Stop Martial Law" as in a protest of martial law?? Or does it mean "Stop, Martial Law" as in you should stop your car because there's martial law?? And then what do you do? Do you just stay in your car until martial law is lifted?? Or are you just full of crap? You're full of crap, aren't you?

listen Duh, Are you dense or just living up to your nome de plume, I swear before God that the report is accurate and second person---the signs read STOP Martial Law this type of sign would be placed to block egress to certin roads, highways or neighborhoods or to devert traffic. I'm so sick of posts that ridicule anything that might be beyond the kin or understanding of personal experience----No I don't think there will be national martial law but plans ARE in place for large population centers of some at risk cities, for example---Wash DC, LA ect. Your guess is as good as mine.----And for my part I'm glad the DUH's of the country will not be heading elsewhere looking for the preps they didn't make. they will be very unhappy with their empty sack of DUH's. DUH you get it?
