Video-cds.com is a big fraud!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I had ordered for some 8 VCDs from video-cds.com a few days back. They charged on my credit card and promised that the requested CDs will be delivered. The CDs were delivered but not all of them. Several mails have been sent by me to them (to this guy called Thomas Hui and other fella called Charles Teng) but only silence from their side has greeted me. They just dont care to respond!

I just want to warn all of you to be careful of these guys! All the CDs were delivered from Malaysia and the quality of some of the CDs can at best be called as "screeners". Incidentally all these CDs are available at less than a $2 value in Malaysia which these guys are peddling at exhorbitant prices of $14+.

I really dont know if these guys fall under the ambit of legality of consumer protection? If they do i would like to find out how and like these guys to burn in hell for cheating me and may be others like me.

Regards,

They are not realy a fraud because you will receive your VCD's. The only big problem is that they mix originals with pirates VCD (very high prices also). I had the same problem with 5 movies I order from them. Now I just don't trust them anymore ! If you want originals stick with www.videocds.com and www.cdmovies.com (other places might be good but I only buy from those two)

Alain is right, back sometime ago, I heard that someone had problem with their rush hour and, they were having their own forum and this guy by the name of Will Shake attack Charles Tang, he admits that he does sell pirated pre-released mix with original and do send you pirated vcd if he does not have any stock, unlike vcdgallery.com who is also selling pirated vcd mix and lately trying to sell latest james bond movies, yes it is true that pirated VCD (screener with "z" and there another one with "Eagle logo" are sold at only US1.5 near popular hotels on the road side in Malaysia. Since then I only but from www.videocds.com and www.cdmovies.com. I also did buy from another site call www.asiacd.com but very hard to search as most of descriptions are in chineses but I have not check for quite for quite sometime, may be they have improve.
