This is my first post here, so I hope I got everything correct. This is one of those images I took one day when I remembered to occasionally look down while out shooting. Any and all comments are welcome.

I really like the image a lot. It looks like it was set up - leaves, driftwood, etc. all in perfect locations and none anywhere else. I don't know if that would be interpreted as "hand of man" or just good ability to visualize and make an image.

After reading Rod's post I went back and took a closer look and it could be contrived, hard to tell for sure. Overall a nice photo, but I see several macro possablities in this one photo, the small blue flower with the rock?, the large flower in front, and the small yellow/gold flower in the upper right. Contrived or not, who cares?

Nice photo. Hope to see more from you.

Thanks for the input everyone. There was nothing set up or placed in this image. It wass, however, cropped from a larger, "messier" original in order to isolate what I felt was the nicest composition.

In every photo op, there are several different compositions. Selective choice of elements is composition. This is a pleasing composition. I also like the lighting.

FYI Re: Set ups. If a scene is obviously set up, the image is disqualified under both the PSA rules and under the Foundview rules. This forum's posted rules follow both. That also answers who cares. (Words are important. "Obviously" limits or qualifies the words "set arrangments.") See PSA rules at http://www.psa-photo.org/nddef2.htm

This is a nice photo - doesn't really do anything for me, but I'm not really sure why this looks "contrived" or "set-up" to anyone. It almost looks to busy to me; definitely not obviously staged...
