Poor little Maria on CNBC was just about getting trampled by everyone around the IBM desk selling stock. And every talking head was chattering on about Y2k just about every other sentence. "Gee, maybe it IS a problem..."

That large popping sound you may have noticed around 9:15 might have been Wall Street having its collective head pulled out of its collective a$$.

But then, probably not. Calling SuperGreenspan!

Don't worry, the PPT will be right there buying with your tax dollars. Heck, the may end up owning the market before long.....

Allright no one take this for anything more than a WAG, but a) if you look at the stochastic indicators there's still a little room on the up side to retrench from last weeks losses, b) dumb as it sounds Friday's are generally pretty optimisitc, what with the week-end and all. If the dow drops significantly tommorow, people are real worried. c) It's doubtful the 6% loss from last week will have been made up by next week d) Early next week the stochastics will be in overbought territory, if they can get past that downward pressure maybe the markets will do allright for awhile, to put it on the line, next week we test 10000 again. Then again with this kinda of volatility just wait 1/2 an hour and you can argue whatever side you want.

Brett,

You really are sick. Have you any idea what a crash would do to people invested in the market? I bet you are one of those people who bought gold at 328.00. Last time I looked it was at about 302.00. If that isn't a crash, I don't know what is.
