My tabs are due at the end of Dec. I pay usually well over $300. When I-695 passes, when will I be able to pay the new fee? Hopefully, you're going to say January or sooner!

Mike-- If you purchase your tabs in January, you would pay the $30 fee (if I-695 passes). That being said, if you're caught driving in January with expired tabs, it's a $71 fine (according to one of the posters to this forum who's a cop). You ought to assume this initiative will be in court for months, if not years, to clarify what some sections mean and to determine if others are constitutional. It may be months before we know the actual effects, and no one knows what a court will rule should be enforced until the final rulings are issued.
