Wow, this initative definitly has alot of debate. The bottom line is it is about time the tax payers of Washinton state regain control. It's to bad our elected officals(representatives) don't want to represent our wishes. It may be OK to pay reasonable taxes for reasonable services, but its not OK to continue to raise taxes and not save budgets. I can see paying a one time excise tax on my vechicles, but not each and every year. If you talk to your friends, family, co-workers, or anyone and ask about their opinion, without giving yours to them, As I have. You may find that this initative not only has merit in passing, but will pass with flying colors. I hope it will make its mark as it should, and get the messege to our government. I know I'm tired of seeing lazy government, city, and related workers not producing as the private sector workers do. This proposition should be a start in many to come. Its time for a change!

It is clearly time, and past time, to get rid of the impediments written into state law, that virtually outlaw contracting-out jobs now held by government service unions. I have nothing against either government employees ir union members, but we ought to be getting what we need from the lowest bidder that provides an acceptable product or service. That's what a market economy is all about. If someone wants to provide gifts or subsidies to people with their own money, I have no problem with that. But the government funds provided through taxation ought to be used in the most efficient manner possible. If the government workers can do as well as the competition, that's great. If not, we ought to contract out these functions where possible.
