Is anyone having trouble getting into the other forum?

Hi Libby! It is getting more difficult. I suspect it must have been a server problem, but last Sunday I was getting the busy message at 7 a.m.

Definitely getting much busier and harder to get into. Since I can continue to try to access it in between jobs at work (slow in recent months here), I know it has been at all hours from 9am-5pm, but especially heavy from noon til 2pm and again near 5pm. Guess that's when it's slower at work (lunch, breaks, end of day) for many others.

I keep wishing those who don't work outside the home, and have to also get up early and go to bed early, and who can access forum any time of day/night, would avoid those really heavy times mentioned above for the sake of working stiffs. Thanks any who do, in advance.

I am having little problem now, but a couple of weeks ago, I couldn't even get on at 4 and 5am. But I think it must be AOL as it seems to move slower and slower. Taz

Comes and goes during the day (and night) Elaine. I look at it as an opportunity to research... elsewhere. Either that or you can sit on the Reload button.

Sometimes, I back up the Greenspun URL to...

I take it sysops that as we draw closer and closer and the forum gets busier and busier there is no way to explore:

Forum rationing---honor system!!!

Based on first letter of participants last name--

example: forum readers with letters A thru N please use forum during even hours 2-4-6-8-10 etc.

Forum readers with letters O thru Z please use forum during odd hours 1-3-5-7-9 etc.

I believe of all the groups in the world that would stick with an honor system, the Yourdon readers would!!

Rationing system wouldn't work. You have aY2kPro, a bY2kPro, a cY2kPro etc. Also, I don't think Flint could wait an hour to post his rambling rebuttals aimed at one sentence of a 2 page post by a regular. Wait! Maybe that WOULD work. If the pollies had to wait their turn, just think...hypertension, migraines, angina attacks, asthma attacks...why, the possiblities are endless.
