This morning, the links at the website of the October 13 testimonies to the Senate Y2K Committee were links to PDF documents. They are now links to HTML documents.

The links are all now .htm except for Nick Gogerty's testimony on global finance which is still in .pdf format.

Great. Gegerty's was the most damning. Gotta keep that locked up in PDF locked files so that .005% of the public will see it.

Gogerty made a very important point:

No matter whether Y2K = BITR or Y2K = TEOTWAWKI; the global $1 Trillion US dollar per day foreign exchange trading cannot tolerate any settlement delays. Therefore, the money managers will take premptive action and seek safe havens prior to Y2K: flight to quality; flight to liquidity; credit tightened; flight to physical assets; etc.

Based on this it seems a recession is inevitable as our best case scenario - eliminating anything on the 1-4 scale of Webster's Y2K impact scenarios.
