I can't find a post from a couple days ago

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

A couple days ago (I think it was Sunday) there was a post with the title "Y2K End Game and the real truth (imo)" I cannot find this again. It had to do with the 3% and the 97%. I really wanted to read the replies to this but it seems to have disapeared, I've checked most of the old archive subjects that seemed to fit. Thank you for any direction.

In the future you may want to use the "new answers" link at the top of the page. It shows more posts that are older than the last two days.

Thank you. Sparky's post was very powerful to me and ever since I read it and the previous post sparky was refering to, I have really gone through something. I don't know what I am doing anymore. (not that I ever really did) I started getting really freaked realizing that it really is not possible for a majority to prepare and where does that leave those who are? I have been filled with guilt and shame thinking that I am putting my family at risk by preparing. It has been a rough couple of days. I feel liike this is a nightmare and I wanna wake up. Somehow reading Sparky's post made me feel that at least there were reasons that I have been really feeling confused. Anyway, I am just ranting. I was almost ready to throw in the towel today and say that's enough. In fact we did give up a rural place to stay in our small town today. I got scared about being isolated. I felt we may be more at risk out there. I don't know this is the hardest thing to get straight on. I used to be really straight on this preparation mode but now that it is so late and no one around me is preparing, I am questioning the whole idea.

Why are you doubting yourself when your intentions are good ones? You are not putting your family at risk, you're protecting them from it. It may be that we need to deprive ourselves of some luxuries that we are used to, but with such a high degree of uncertainty about the future it is better to concentrate on safety and basic survival. Hang in there, and trust your instincts. Best wishes to you and yours.
