The "campus area that will be powered for two weeks" that you mentioned in a previous post. Any chance that it looks down upon "Capitol Lake". Cause I heard the same info too, and also info about standby diesel tanker trucks. Two new generators have been installed at that location. It seems the tanker trucks are for the intial lack of diesel, and the underground tanks are for phase 2. (Less than 2 months ? )

Nope. At least, the facility I'm at doesn't look out over any lake. I suspect it is another company than yours. Are you by any chance in the Austin, TX area?

Capitol Campus, Olympia Wa. Requests for 241 generators, 43 million alloted.

WOW! That is a bunch. I am kind of surprised that it is known though. I wouldn't have had a clue about ours, except that I got nosy about a bunch of loud work being done outside the only conference room we have available on Wednesdays and asked the workers what the heck they were doing. The answer boggled my mind. (The company has been putting out happy faces for about 2 years.)

And it is not generally known throughout the company, as we are in a building on the periphery of the site. The only thing happening elsewhere is addition of a bunch of cables, primarily through the existing tunnels. Hmmmm. Didn't want to panic the troops, I think.

Of course, that is 241 generators statewide, I doubt half of the requests get filled. Why one agency wants 62 Porti-Potties so all of their staff can remain in the building. (Sanitary Code issue) Keep an eye on those port-pottie manufacturers, it could be the next great stock sector to rotate into

Jim--

Would that be right between Lacey and Tumwater, with a BIG fountain on the main drag, and sitting just above an ancient brewery where the artesians can still be heard on a sunny morning saying "We really hate that Hamms Bear"

just another, I'm in Austin - close to it - and we're powered by the LCRA's hydro operation over the Highland Lakes.

Know anything? (and are you an Austinite?)
