AARP, another group against i-695

greenspun.com : LUSENET : I-695 Thirty Dollar License Tab Initiative : One Thread

I am an AARP member as well as pro union. I have received letters from both groups urging me to take a closer look and vote no. I am one of the first to support my union members on the picket line, I listen to what my familly tells me, and I will vote no.

Craig:

This expands that 3 - 4% support group you mentioned. Those who are retired, and union members. That could be a majority of those who vote, without adding the transit users.

Thank you, Mr. Nichols.

We'll see. Most of the retirees I know would rather vote yes. They can travel at less congested tomes (oftentimes with their RVs). I understand the unions being anti-695, but the union members I know are generally pro-695. But time will tell. If the anti 695 people are going to start to gain ground, they are going to need to do it fast. A lot of people will vote their absentee ballots on the day that they arrive, and right now the pro-695 people still have a pretty healthy lead. Also, there are dang few undecideds.
