If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times..!!

I know, I'm rehashing a question out of one of those surveys that did the rounds ages ago. Didn't answer it..?? Now's your chance..

I'm particularly fond of the phrase 'Will the excitement never end' (really..??!!) and I use it constantly. Unfortunately I seem to apply it to many situations where it is not required, often where there is no excitement to be seen and the chance of some coming is extremely unlikely..

Another phrase I overuse is 'beat them with a big stick' - usually directed at people who have annoyed me in some way. It has been an idle threat up until now, but it seems my dream is about to be realised, as along with kickboxing there will be a brief foray into the world of Akido.

Will the excitement never end..???!!

Oh.

I've been told I overuse the expression "oy....can ya believe it?" (at least I've stopped using "tell me about it")

Hmmmm, so many to choose from! "At the end of the day" is one I hear myself using far to often, or "I have to admit", and also inserting the works "Literally" or "Basically" in a liberal fashion into any given sentance.

"At the end of the day I have to admit I basically overuse literally!"

Yeah. Right.

I overuse "Godalmighty", especially when annoyed. "Shut up!", too.

You mean other than my profuse use of profanity (hey, I liked the meter of that phrase)?

Oy Erm Bleh "You jackass!" (Best employed when driving and only when without children in the vehicle) This goes very nicely with the also overused "I'm not a farmer, I don't get paid to handle jackasses." [deep sigh] Did I sign up for this? and the clencher: I'd really like to go to sleep now.

Actually, I really like 'You Jackass..!!' and would like to use it, but I think only Americans can carry that one off.

Re the "You Jackass", I tend to agree it really only works with the US accent/pronounciation. I would pronounce it Jackarse, which doesn't quite work..

Although, Fuckwit and Silly Arse work quite well for me!

Overuse, hmm, probably "That would be a Bad Thing".

i'm quite taken with "are we there yet?" also, i find i say "is it naptime yet" rather more often than is reasonable. oh and my favourite insult? "he has the brains of a rocking horse" or "the concentration span of a flea" by the way, i thought a (laughing) jackass was the same as a kookaburra. but somehow calling someone a kookaburra doesn't have the same ring ......

If you hear me repeat the phrase "Well, I'm over it" one more time, please someone put me down.

lately i've been using the phrase, "that's too cute!" far too much for my liking. i look at cute things and i squeal, "that's too cute!" or i hear about couples with the exact same initials - matching names, as i call them - "too cute!". i saw two people on the way home from work tonight, "dancing" in their car and looking really dorky but cute, and they waved to me, and i just exclaimed to myself, "that's too cute!"

ergh.

what else... oh yes, i say "fuck" far too much. actually, it's more like "fuck off". i even tell my supervisors at work to fuck off, usually because they're laughing at me and not taking me at all seriously.

and i tend to utilise "get bent" a lot, and "christ on a bicycle", which annoys my mother so much that it's almost fun to say it merely to piss her off.

i'm sure i'll think of some more soon.
