New Olympic Events....:)

Are you KIDDING!!! OF COURSE THEY'LL HAVE THE OLYMPICS!!!

Now, they may have to change the events a wee bit.....

I can see it now.

The Water Carry Event- athletes must find and retrieve the 10 gallons of water needed per week per family member, purify it and store it.

The Neighbor Shuffle- athletes go through a serious of obstacles and choose the best of the now abandoned homes around the arena, judging will be done on the basis of crop availability, water security, and heat sourcing. Obstacles will include hungry neighbors, wild dog packs, and government "riot control" squads.

The 100 yard Crochet/knitting event- athletes must find, spin, and weave various articles of clothing that will fit your average citizen. Difficulty will be rated on the time it takes to creat the crochet hook/knitting needles, and the warmth factor of the garment(s).

The Bartering event- athletes must run a course of the former "lunatic fringe" and secure a can of coffee, medical supplies, and spheghetti-o's starting with a roll of toilet paper and a handful of chocolate bars.

The Petrol Retreival event- athletes must construct a servicable deep tank pump, secure metal containers, and retrieve 50 gallons of gas from the nominally "empty" and closed gas stations/c-stores. Points will be awarded on time for retrieval, quality of product, and condition of contestant. Winners will recieve 20% of the total take, with the balance going to all contestants in order of achievement.

Mudwrestling with King Of Spain. How many TB2000 lovelies does it take to get KOS into a full nelson?

How about a "Canning" event?

We went into the Concord CA "Bishops Warehouse" last February and packed over 2700 cans in about 5 hours...that was using only one canning machine (the other was broken). This also included putting oxy absorbers in each can, affixing a label to each can (and box) and putting them in boxes and sealing them. Ron, the manager was amazed and told us no one else had even come close to this volume before. We did come loaded for bear, had excess people and set up like an assembly line....definitly a "team" type event.
