I am a new user of DCC (Digitrax). I have an electronics/programming background and have started constructing a VB6 program to control my layout switches and signals via using an IBM(clone)computer and 8255 based parallel I/O boards.

I would like to interface this control system to Digitrax Loconet. I have the Loconet Specs but doubt my skills would be adequate in creating a DLL or OCX control to allow VB6 to interface via an MS100 serial interface.

Has anyone already done this? and is the software available somewhere?

I'm not sure if this information will help you or not but John Kabat has written an api for Windows 3.1/95 that you can download. He also has some sample code. He also has an earlier DOS TSR with sample code. Maybe the code will be useful to you. Go to http://users.lanminds.net/~sljkrr/ and checkout the L1VXD and LOCONET1 items.
