what's the best exercises for big triceps,i can't get them

I've been trying for months and months but i can't find an exercise that will increase the size of my tri's. the best exersize i'm doing is cable pushdowns this seems only to be working. does anyone hane any ideas?

I have found that the 3 best excercises for building bigger triceps are : 1. CLOSE HAND PUSH-UPS

2. SKULL CRUNCHES 3. DUMB-BELL EXTENSIONS

Hi Anthony, Had to add my favorite....and I attribute this one exercise to turning my thin arms around...that is the pressdown on a pulley machine. Oh, I tried them years ago, and thought "why does my buddy with the 17" arms swear by these?" Then I found the secret....do them RELIGIOUSLY with your other 2 or three tricep movements....BUT DO THEM WITH YOUR BACK STRAIGHT...NOT BENDING DOWN AND PUSHING WITH YOUR BACK AND ABS TO HELP YOU.....HOLD YOUR BACK ERECT AND IMAGINE THAT ONLY YOUR TRICEPS ARE GONNA PRESS DOWN. Now do those over 6 months and measure another inch or two. Do them to failure! I do 4 sets of 12, but you can try 3 sets of 10 to start. Listen to your body. Take creatine. Stay natural. EAT well and sleep well. You will get there with these. Good luck!!

Hi i think 1 of tha best exercises 4 bigger tricepts is push downs or close grip bench. actually the best is clost grip with a currling bar. I'm 15 years old and I have 19 inch arm and I was told that the tricepts make your arms look bigger so I've been doin those.

THE CLOSEGRIP BENCH AND REG DIPS,WILL GIVE ALOT OF MASS, PUSHDOWNS ARE GOOD FOR SHAPING ,NOT REALLY TOO MUCH MASS.ALSO ADD ONEARM TRICEP EXTENSIONS, DONE SLOWLY WILL ADD SOME MASS TO YOUR TRICEPS.DO THIS REP 10-8-6 FOR GOOD RESULTS TOTAL OF 3 SETS EACH .!!

Like someone earlier in this said, a good tricep exercise is close hand push ups. That is true but you can ad more to that exercise. Take 2 dumbells and lay them next to one another. Put your hands on the grips and do your push ups like that. For even better results have someone lay a 10, 25, or 35lb plate on your back and then do them. You will feel your triceps really burn.

Skull Crunches work great for me. I also do dumbell extentions and some cable but the skull crunches work best.

heres a sweet tricep workout thatll burn ya extrmely well.......take a ez bar and put a good amount of weight that u can do skull crushers on for about 10 good reps.....lay down on a flat bench and do ten of these. then take it like ur going to bench but with a extremely close grip and bring it down to ur upper stomach dropping ur elbows straight down.....do this for 15 reps.....then go straight to a set of extrmel heavy tricep pushdowns....then go back to the skull crushers and closegrip bench press do 4 sets of each youll feel it .....but to add mass u need to use a heavy weight
