The Machine Stops

Story by E.M. Forster about a world totally dependent on machines, and what happens when those machines break down. Written around the turn of the century.

Anything you write now is around the turn of the century, dude. Good story, though I'm glad we went with coax rather than tubes.

ABSOLUTELY PROFOUND! What can you tell us about this author? How did you find this? Almost to close to be metaphor or simile...seems more like a "vision". Am still contemplating/printing out to read again. It's somewhat long but suggest everyone read it.

You should have told us this Plexus thingie automatically shuts down Netscape. Or was that part of the 'artistic' experience?

Glad I didn't have any important files up.
