Answers

Crystals, particularily of the quartz and tourmaline varieties. Tourmalines are my favorites, because of their cool rounded triangular crystalline shape, their striated texture, and the red, pink, green, blue colors it comes in.

Also, I like to collect coins from other countries. US coinage is boring, but those of other lands are fascinating. I have quite a few British coins, Australian coins, Czech Republic (and its earlier incarnations) coins and several other odds and ends.

Oh, yeah, and music CDs. I have to have my music while I work. The fingers won't do a thing without those tunes...

Ducks! I collect ducks. Ceramic, wood, straw, carved, brass, stuffed. Not just ANY duck, though. It has to call my name. "Buy me, buy me!" I've let up a little on the duck collecting lately. And Stephen King first editions. I'm working on it, anyway. I have everything from "Dark Half" on. I'm trying to find the old stuff, but it takes $$...

I do not really collect things. I just accumulate. That is, I have an inherited dislike to throw away things. So I have several computers in various states of disrepair, computer magazines from the 80es, my own weight in comic books and paperbacks. Stuff like that. As for some of the comics, I suppose I keep them expecting that they will be worth a bit if I live long enough. But that's not why I bought them. I buy things I want, and just do not have the sense to get rid of them. There must be a hundred CDs or two, too. And a hundred original computer games.

Frogs. When my husband (ex-now) and I were engaged, we used to talk about having boys with frogs in their pockets and I started collecting frogs. Well the boys are grown now and the marriage ended but the collection is still going strong......

Rocks. And on the 'just accumulate' side of things (and in order of how many I seem to have accumulated): CDs. Papers of various sorts. Books (this used to be more but then I moved across a country line...). Tapes.

I collect anything beautiful. Beautiful things with a story behind them. That means, for one thing, rocks. I have plenty. Nice Texas cretaceous fossils. I have "sea eggs" from British Columbia. I have "desert eggs" from Big Bend in way-west Texas. I also have nice specimens of bark. I have a twisted piece of wood that looks like it has a roadrunner sitting on top of it.... I have a beautiful frog skeleton, intact...that kind of thing.
