First roll

greenspun.com : LUSENET : General Photo Critique : One Thread

I've just recently bought an SLR and began taking pictures with a more deliberate mentality than most snapshots dictate. I just got my first roll of film developed and I'd appreciate some blunt criticism of a couple of images from that roll. I put them up under Philip's new photodb system on photo.net. http://http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder.tcl?folder_id=221. The first photo is dead because the system won't let me delete it. Anyway, I'd really appreciate honesty. I spent much of my college years workshopping poetry and fiction and learned the most when people spoke their minds. Thanks in advance.

Pay more attention to the edges, if you want them to be significant with info, be more definate. If you want them to serve as a frame, make them cleaner...t
