Y2K panel luncheon at Money Show in SF on October 29

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

FYI. I just received a "you are invited/two free tickets" to the 21st annual Money Show in San Francisco on 10/29-10/31 at the Marriott. A lot of well known financial names are on the roster as speakers.

On the 29th there is a paid Y2K lunch panel with the following subject matter experts speaking: John Westergaard (Publisher of Westergaard Online Systems and Y2K advisor to Sen. Moynihan), Joel Willemssen (Dir. Civil Agencies Information Systems), George Bailar (NASDAQ CIO), Martin Weiss (Year 2000 Alert), and Harry Browne (former Libertarian presidential candidate). Lunch is $49.

Website to register/get info is intershow.com

Given the market volatility and about 60 days to go by that time, it could be interesting.

What I'd REALLY like to go to is the monthly or bi-monthly economic seminar held by the San Francisco FED. (If they are still being held!) They treat the local economists to lunch as well as a good seminar.
