I am aware of the title, but for the life of me I cannot get this squared away in my head, is this a air photo? Pat

Carlo -

I like the lighting, but this picture doesn't do much for me. I can't find a distinct subject...is it the crevasse or the shapes, or is it supposed to be abstract?

I think you might have done better to have found an interesting formation and zoomed in on it, or to have gone wider to get an expansive view of the glacier (a study of size, maybe?)

Carlo, this is a nice piece of graphic art. It would be an amazing picture if it contained something to scale it, contradict / break the impression of the structure, and possibly add a story, a human touch. Such an object would be e.g. a person, or a piece of equipment. Try it when you go there next time :-)))

This image was intended to show a natural subject that because of the stongh lighting with harsh contrast had became a pure grafic composition - white and black - still recognizable in his true nature.

Pat, I shot from the cablecar.

Jana, you're right, it lacks of a scale-element.

Jeremy, thank you too. I have another image of the same glacier, from a different poin of view. I hope you'll see my next posting.
