My friend in London just emailed to say that the bank erased 3,700 pounds. His complete account vanished and the bank admitted to him that it was the "millenium bug". That is what they said. No clue as to how long this will remain unresolved. Needless to say my friend is upset. And cash short.

Please get more info if you can. Which Bank?? And is the bank going to re-credit his account? And were there any other accounts erased? And did his (presumably) well-kept bank records do him any good?
