OT: All you bonafide snoops...be on the lookout for this one

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Well known journalist (Sperry or Bozell?) got kicked out of press conference with Clinton after asking about Chinagate etc. the last day or two.

His scathing remarks are what we 'need' to hear.

"We're finished in America. No more free flow of information. Important issues being ignored in the press"

Hope one of you sooper snoopers can find it. So far I haven't been able to.

It was Sperry, and check the Drudge report for a decent revue!

Heard this discussed on NPR this morning. It is apparently covered in a Washington Post article, supposedly in detail. Please note that this was not a press conference, but a picnic given for the WH press corps, hosted by the White House. It sounded like the President was trying to be a gracious host at a friendly social function, but the reporter had a different agenda, re his pursuit of a Chinagate story. IMHO, this must be a DGI reporter, if he thinks this is the topic that he should be pursuing with such urgency these days.

The Presz was defintely uncool on this one. The reporter made a friendly inquiry about when the Prez planned to have another press conference. The Prez pushed him as to why and what for and then blew his top. What is wrong with letting the Prez know that one thought a press conference was needed? And then a few days later the White House press sec. calls the reporter a sh-t head, come on, who is out of control.

Why are you people so surprised?

We have a king. And his name is Emperor Willy. You slothful Americans have by fiat, entreatied him as absolute ruler, so you have only yourselves to blame.

All hail his royal high-ness.

Those that bid not your king well, will be destroyed.

Invar, What is there to do? I honestly want to know. I didn't vote for him ever and the last time he 'won' I cried which is definatley not a habit of mine. How do you fight someone with this much power.He has people killed for godsake who get in his way. Where do people like us go to fight? The poles and vote? What a friggin joke. I only know one person that voted for him. I believe it was fixed as I'm sure some of you also do;

What to do Tress? Simple. We bring God back into our National conciousness. We repent individually and as a nation for being evil, selfish and foolish as to allow our birthright blessing of freedom to be stealthily stolen from us. Then we must all as a nation, rise up, denounce this nonsense and THROW THE BASTARDS OUT...whether by vote in a special election that replaces ALL OF THEM (we need to fumigate the House and Senate as well as the White House), or by force if they refuse to abide in our wishes.

Of course TPTB have no worries as to either solution as we the people have EARNED this crap and what is to befall us nationally for allowing ourselves to go to sleep behind freedom's wheel. We will never rise up together for we are too far divided over race, class, gender, orientation and political ideology. We have become a nation of takers and whiners, of slothful moral character and indifference towards evil. We have adopted the 60's mantra "Live and let live", so long as it doesn't affect our pursuits and space. We have accomodated evil and justified our burning conciousness by citing "Judge not lest ye be judged", in order to assuage our own individual sinfulness.

No. Unfortunately we are too far gone as a nation, each demanding their RIGHTS over the freedoms and sensibilities of the rest. We are condemned to destruction and captivity, unless a miracle occurs and we wake up to our national spiritual condition, and make some huge changes....

But for those that enjoy the status quo....don't worry. Things shall remain the way you want it...until mass chaos turns our nation upside down...but by then, repentance will be too late.

I think our shot at denouncing all this crap went out the window in 1996.

We are about to reap our sown oats.

What to do? Pray you are worthy to escape all these things about to happen, and that your flight to safety be not on the Sabbath or Winter. That is our only charge...and hope until the end of the age.

Kristi, you need to do a little bit of research here. Sperry has openly asked Clinton when he was going to have a press conference (something he has been neglecting...wonder why...it certainly isn't the no. of issues on the table in need of Q & A!) and he was rebuffed by his heinous...oops, I mean Heiness.

Sperry, a dying breed of reporter/journalist, was seeking to open discourse on an extremely critical issue that the president has been avoiding. The common approach to reporting these days is to ignore potentially damaging issues and concentrate on totally unimportant and mind numbing non-news issues.

Sperry is a rogue among his peers and he is a gem, a precious gem.
