Question for Ed Yourdon

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Ed - are we allowed to show your videos to a large group?

Answers

No, please show it to one person at a time, making the rest wait out in the hall until it is finished. Only in this way will people be able to get the most out of it. The hours of anticipation in the hall will make them all that more eager to learn.

Jeeeeesh, Amy, don't you think Ed might have just a *few* more important things to do than answer that dern fool question? Try a few thousand.

Some,

Yes, Ed does have a lot of things to do with his time, making it all the more impressive that he has been so generous with it on this forum. I wouldn't be surprised for him to answer Amy's question if he sees it.

Amy,

If you don't get an answer here, you might try posting the same question on the HumptyDumpty board.

Purchase individual tapes for each person so that Ed can get whatever money is left to be made before he reverses his opinion again.

Amy,

I assume that you're talking about the Y2K Preparedness video? If so, I don't hold the copyright to the video; thus, while I don't have any personal objection to your showing it to a large group, I'm not in a position to grant permissions. I'd suggest that you contact Robert Roskind, who produced the tape; he should be able to help you, and I would imagine that he would be favorably inclined if it was a non- profit activity. Robert's email address is roskind@appstate.campuscwix.net

Thank you!

This is my email to Mr. Roskind and his response (hope I'm not breaking any rules here):
