GOLD again, but on topic

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I cahsed out my 401k in June of 98 due to Y2K concerns. At the time, I was hopped up on Scary Gary, and wanted GOLD by God!! I bought when Gold was at 289.00 per ounce spot price. Since then, I have been steadily buying more, and last week went on a bender! I bought wed, thurs, and friday of last week, a little each day. I go the same places Andy goes on the net (thank you to him for the education), and every night got more stoked on gold fever!! Anyway, I call my "gold guy" today, and guess what? he is SOLD OUT. Completely, all bars, bullion, etc. Found two old, ratty looking Kruggerands in the back room, but that is it. Only numismatics are left. I never bought gold to make money. I am not speculating. But I am preserving my wealth through gold.

Big pay check next week. I am looking at precious gem stones next, as all the gold here in Virginia is gone.

Andy- e-mail me please. We have spoken in the past, and I have a few questions for you.

Richard,

Buy Silver, silver, and more silver. Percentage-wise, it is sure to follow gold in performance. I just made a nice little purchase last week myself. Feels nice to buy at the bottom, doesn't it?

Or try my online guys for gold (or silver).

Richard,

There is still gold in Virginia. There's also silver and platinum. If you are interested in gold dust, I can hook you up with a World Bank consultant who says he has an African source for $220 an ounce. Of course, you'll need to get enough to make the cost of his airplane ticket to Africa worthwhile to you.

Richard: Been to Imperial, haven't you?

Stan,

That $220 per ounce sounds to good to be true, and you know what they say about that kind of situation.
