Roller-coasters : LUSENET : I Wasn't Built to Get Up at this Time : One Thread

Do you like roller-coasters? And if so, are you out of your mind?!

I used to LOVE rollercoasters.... the spinning, the turning, the upside down flips, the twisting.... ughhh!!! Now they make me feel sick to my stomach. In fact, last year the family decided to do this amusement park get together type of thing. Nobody wanted to go on the kiddy rides with the little ones, so I volunteered. I have this soft spot for the younger kids in the family. So we went into Popeye's world, and went on everything, most of which involved spinning in circles at about 80 miles per hour. I was so sick took me two days just to recover. The things we'll do to make someone else happy....right Tim? I suppose if I were in the right mood, I'd be able to handle the roller coaster rides but tend to stay away. I dont like waiting in lines anyhow...

No, I don't particularly like roller coasters. I think anyone who's willing to subject themselves to that kind of sudden, violent movement is a flaming loony. Am I out of my mind? Yes, but that has absolutely nothing to do with roller coasters.

I've been on "The big one" at Blackpool. I had to be pried off it, because in my fear i had grabbed onto the bar so tightly that my fingers seized up.

It was a very scary experience, and not worth the flippin' enourmous cost!

I actually do like roller coasters. Perhaps I am out of my mind, I don't know. I don't like all of them, but I can handle most. The kiddie rides are sometimes the best, though. I've been tempted to take perfect strangers with me on the ride (children strangers) just so I don't look odd... I just don't like it when I go on a roller coaster and about a month later I hear it's closed down because people died on them...
