Cowboy oil paintings

I have four approx 8x10 oils of cowboys etc. All have slight description on back of canvas, all signed either JS or J-Smith. One shows cowboy on horse traveling fast, back says in very old handwriting, game plenty but no time for sport- Pony Express rider. Looks as if written in pencil. Also all have #'s. This one has 110. Next shows just a horse stomping on snake, back covered with old brown paper, Deadly Enemies written in pencil # 100. Next shows cowboy sitting by horse with rifle on knees, by herd of sheep, sheepdog laying in foreground. Back agained covered with old brown paper, says The Wooley Hills # 96. Last one is a cowboy on horse with rope tied to calf. Branding iron in campfire in foreground. A slight bit of cardboard backing was cut away in the middle and you can see same handwriting explaining the pic. I can see something about cow puncher and work. # 42. Sure hope someone can help identify this painter and his work.
