Taz sees the white bus for herself!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I had just pulled into the bank parking lot (for my weekly fight of cashing a check rather than depositing it) when I saw a white school bus on the back of a low boy truck. No markings on the bus and not a new bus, but definitly a new paint job. The truck was white and had a logo/design that I couldn't make out, but think it was the logo of the State of Florida. The print said, "The Federal Department of ----- Service." I could not catch that one word, which of course is the key word. It looked like "arms". But I have poor vision. Anyway, it was about 20 miles east of Ocala and headed east toward Daytona Beach. If I hadn't had my ill mother in law with me, I would have followed that truck to see where it was going and find out all I could. Have to say, it did make the hair stand up on the back of my neck to see it for myself.

I saw lots of white school buses in town when we had forest fires going. They brought the firefighters to town to pick up personal supplies at WalMart. I asked one firefighter where he was from and he said his crew was from Minnesota. The only word showing on the buses was the word "CREW." The National Guard were in trucks carrying about 30 guards to a truck.

Taz-

I've seen references made to "white buses" a number of times on this forum but have yet to read an explanation as to why they should be considered as something "sinister". Can you tell me why seeing a white bus would cause you (and others here) such concern? Thanks.

White buses, black helicopters......heck, nothing is too insignificant for the really paranoid.........

I personally feel that blue skateboards and purple hovercrafts are somehow involved but that's just me listening to Andy and the boys once too often...............

CD..there has been a lot of stuff and photos of white buses on this forum. Supposedly to take us all to the shelters. I have always thought, "yeah, right!!" But after reading all this stuff, I REALLY did a double take when I saw it this morning. If I hadn't read anything, I would never have given it a thought. I still don't believe martial law will happen except in cities that angry people are trying to burn to the ground. Guess I had better start looking up for the contrails in the sky and the black helicoptors. LOL But then, I might see the damn things and start getting all worried!

Craig.. you've SEEN the purple hovercraft!?

Taz, bardou.. We had several white busses here (Sierras) fighting forest fires. Said "Special Operations" on them. Never had seen them before. Don't know why if they are Forest Service vehicles they aren't forest service green.

I see. Thanks Taz

I saw a whole bunch of white carco van type vehicles at my local mall and thought this was strange, along other sorts of hauling vehicles and a white bus. They were all mostly labeled US DOT, (dept of transportation). So I thought I'd ask what they were for, When I asked one of the men He said they were evaluating them but he wouldn't tell me for what, I did see a man walking around with a clipboard, I thought this was very strange.

I've seen the white buses in my little corner of heaven, here in the midwest.

I believe the buses are a sign of government activity.

Who knows if it's good, bad or indifferent activity...just that the Fed's are off their butts doing something.

Uh Craig,

Your lack of knowledge is showing.

The Black Helicopter crew... Night Stalkers...

An interesting slice of history...

Enjoy! (F.Y.I., they fly the Special Ops guys, like Delta Force, about half the time, according to my NightStalkers web-master bud).

Linda, I think those buses belong to the forestry department. How else would they get personnel to the firelines to fight the fires? Maybe they should paint them black, purple or even red, then we would really become alarmed. I don't think there is anything to the white buses other than to transport firefighters or Red Cross personnel to disasters. BTW, I did see a white bus with red letters that said Red Cross sitting at a shelter during the fires here in California. They may have used the bus to transport people from the fires to the shelters. If you all really want to get concerned about the buses, be concerned if they have heavy gauge wire going across the windows (looks like cyclone fencing), and a heavy duty wire gauge screen separating the driver from the rest of the bus. Drive by your local National Guard and county jail once in a while to see if there's an unusual amount of them parked. A bus load of people can easily overtake the driver if your being taken somewhere against your will.

Oh right, knock Taz who is one of the most savvy GI's. She's one of the last people posting who I would see as a paranoid. Most of the best common sense tips have come from Taz and Old Git.

Seeing a white bus and keeping your eyes open and your vigilance sharp is not the same thing as wringing your hands and screaming that the sky is falling in.

It is simply recognizing that historically nations have decayed, corrupt leaders have betrayed, and those who seek power have been known to be ruthless, cruel and amoral. Their end justifies their means. Why not keep watch on such people and potential trouble? Would you rather be caught unawares bleating and chewing cud? I joke about the black helicopters too, but only as diversionary fun. I know they exist. How they are put to use is another matter. Any spook could tell you about the slimy dark underside of the belly of government, including America.

White is the color of choice for vehicles for both the Red Cross amd FEMA. Probably a lot of busses and trucks being painted white so they can be used interchangeably, with any type of disaster relief. There's probably a big warehouse somewhere stocked with peel-and-stick red crosses.

White is the cheapest color to paint a vehicle. My husband's company is in the process of changing the color of their vehicles from sky blue to all white, the company logo stays the same.

I've also heard that white vehicles are the cheapest to buy. Most of the farmworkers in the fields that I've seen are carted around in white busses nowadays.

I've got a head cold today, so am a touch more daffy than usual - so bear with me. My simple question is - if a bus is not a yellow school bus, what color would you view without trepidation?

Taz,

Remember to lay low...
