First: I have never actually seen the MACHINE containing the Scramble hardware version of Crazy Kong (called "ckongs" on MAME), but when I saw it on MAME, I was pretty sure the colours were wrong. My suspicions have since been confirmed by several people who HAVE seen the machine.

Since Crazy Kong is by far my favourite all-time game, I want to see the colours in the versions available on MAME fixed. At LEAST 4 of the 7 versions of CK on MAME have incorrect colours... . So I have written a program that makes changing the colours in ckongs pretty easy. It is a Win32 program using DirectDraw (which, translated, means it requires Windows 9x or Windows NT 4.0 SP3 or higher).

So I am asking all people who have seen the actual Crazy Kong on Scramble hardware machine to contact me. I'll send you my program then and once everyone has sent in their fixed colour set, I'll distribute those to all participants for a second round. And so on, until in the end, hopefully, everybody has decided on a single colour set, which we should then submit to the MAME Dev team to be included in the next release of MAME.
