County Software Upgrade Fails

The Executive Summary

The Montecello School District ordered a new custom software package from an educational software company. The software has problems.

- The county has attempted to call the company but has not gotten any response.

- They have certain forms which the state says must be filled out by Sept. 30. The current software cannot fill out these forms.

- They are going to try to do it manually, but they are not sure how.

- If they cannot fix this system quickly then they have no backup plan.

In less than 100 days, this could be everybody.
