Aquarain Water Filters

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Thanks to all of you who helped me with my question last week about a good cookbook for food storage ingredients. I've bought two of them and hope to have the next couple of months for testing (kinda like Y2K code remediation) before New Year's Evil comes.

By the way, we just bought an Aquarain water filter and it works great and it's on sale for $229 (down from the normal $279)! We bought ours through the y2ksurvive.com website (thank you, cody!) but you can probably get them other places. No commercial connection here, just thought some of you might like to know about this. I think the sale ends at the end of the month.

The Aqua-Rain filters can be purchsed for $189 and $239 at this site:

The cheaper model only has two elements, the more expensive has 4. I don't know if this is the same one, but it sounds like the price is better. Good luck.

I bought the 4 element filter through www.y2ksurvive.com for $229 so I think I got the best price. The Katadyn and the Berkefeld were both $279 and the Aquarain does a better job of filtering than the others.
