Y2K Bulletin Boards

I posted some messages on Y2K bulletin boards (e.g. c.s.y2k) and discovered something that may be common knowledge for all I know, but has just dawned on me: the postings are ordered according to number of lines. Not anything halfway sensible like date or alphabetical order, but number of lines for God's sake. More and more these days I feel that either the whole world has gone completely nuts or I have. Does anyone have any insight on this particular problemo?

I don't know what you use to read the messages, but I assmume it is either Microshaft or Nutscrape, like me.

In that case, simply click on the (grey) heading at the top - poster, subject, date, whatever and it will sort by that column. Simple! Click again, and everything is sorted in reverse. I usually sort by date.
