What is the difference between the "Queen Crescent Limited" and the "Crescent Limited?" When and where was each train operated? Thanks for any help.

The Crescent Limited ran between New York and New Orleans via PRR DC SOU Atlanta A&WP-WRRA Montgomery L&N. The train was All-Pullman and was instituted on April 26, 1925. It lasted until, IIRC, ths summer of 1934 when it lost its extra fare status, got coaches, and was renamed "Nos. Thirty-Seven and Thirty-Eight". In the late thirties, the train became "The Crescent" and regained all-Pullman status between NY and Atlanta.

The Queen & Crescent Limited was instituted about the same time, but it ran between Cincinnati and New Orleans. It also started out as All-Pullman, but it was not too successful. By the early thirties, it was just another train and had lost most of its luxury features, received coaches, and lost "Limited" from its name. The remnants were discontinued in the late forties, I believe.
