This is a full frame scan here a I would like to get an 8X10 printed up (as this is my best landscape "type" photo so far) and I can't seem to decide where to cut the 2 inches from. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Randall, I remember how excited I was with my first landscape, and without being sarcastic, what is it that is special about this that we should notice? Pat

I'd take 1 1/4" from the top and 3/4" from the bottom - I think you need to maintain some of the bluish water in the left foreground or you'll lose the effect you want. That is more important than how much sky you have.

Have them print it 8x12.

I am sorry, but I find nothing interesting with this photo. There is no subject that attracts my eye or holds my interest. I wish I could claim that I take few pictures like this, but my full trash can proves that I do.

Randall, I can see what might have attracted you to this shot. The crystal clear water and the shore shapes are quite interesting. May I suggest that maybe the subject could be the water and rocks if you focus on those elements as subject. I don't think the sky nor the bushes would be needed if the water and rocks are the subject. Closer and tighter cropped it could be a nice shot. Good Luck

Crop from the top.
