Image transfer onto sandstone rock

greenspun.com : LUSENET : polaroid transfers : One Thread

Dear Photo Enthusiaists,

I once saw an old picture of an American Indian (Native American) produced on a flate piece of sandstone rock. The old photo in combination with the rugged face of the rock made a stunning image. Anyone know how I can do this or send me to a source?

Thanks,

Jack Chapman

You can use Polaroid emulsion transfer for this purpose. There is old thread on this subject in the "image and emulsion transfer" category.

You could also use liquid black and white emulsion such as Silverprint available from Luminos, or Liquid Light from Rockland chemicals. See the book "Silver Gelatin, A User's Guide to Liquid Photographic Emulsion" by Martin Read and Sarah Jones. Amphoto Books. (Available at Amazon.com) Tina
