Offloading

A fishing boat offloads a few thousand dead fish. Overhead hangs the bow of a cruise ship that is offloading a couple thousand tourists.

I wanted to work the fishing boat off against the huge pleasure craft, but it came up short. I can think of two things that would have made this a very cool image. The first is getting close enough to the fishing boat to show the well worn gear and lines in the foreground with the Big White Ship in the back ground. The second is getting out far enough to show the stream of people walking up the ramp at the same time as fish were being sucked up the lift hose. Both of those would have required being on a boat (instead of the dock)to get the angles.

What do you think?

John, I think most people would have missed your point even if you could have worked in those additional elements. You must be knowledgeable about ships and boats to see a contrast here. Most of us would just see a big shiny white boat and a somewhat smaller shiny white boat.

How about contrasting a luxury cruise ship with a native fisherman in a kayak?
